At Competition Transmission and Converters, LLC we offer a complete line of custom built, computer balanced street and race converters. All converters are built in-house and we carry converters from Stock to our Max Performance race line.
Street Performance: This line of converters offer you a variety of choices from our Powershot converter rated at a stall speed of 1800-2200 rpm to our 10" Street Performance rated between 3000 and 4000 rpm. This line also contains our 11" Circle Track converter, a must for those racing for the checkered flag.
Race Performance: For the serious race enthusiast, this line of converters offers maximum performance and strength. These full furnace brazed, full needle bearing converters can be made to handle any application. With Nitrous, Blower, or Bruno applications available, your custom converter can handle anything you put to it.

Street PerformanceAll of our Street and Race converters are built with performance in mind. They all contain billet steel turbine hubs, nothing rebroached or cast iron. Two sets of bearings on our stators instead of plastic caps as well as hand brazed impeller and turbine blades.
Powershot: These 12" converters offer higher stall speeds for improved performance over stock units. Stall Rating is 1800 to 2200 rpm 11" Performance: These are the most popular street converter we sell. Rated 2400 to 2800 rpm, these converters offer excellent performance while maintaining drivability. 11" Circle Track: The top converter around. With internal modifications done, these 11" converters are legal and allow you to coast thru the turns instead of using the brakes and allow instant response on restarts. 10" Street Performance: With a stall speed rated between 3000 to 4000 rpm (as per application), these converters offer the best performance of our street line while maintaining driveability wihtout that "mushy" feeling. |
Race PerformanceAll our Race Series converters contain billet steel hubs and three sets of bearings, no fiber washers found here. A full furnace brazing is also done on top of the hand brazing for extra strength. In all of our 8 and 9 inch converters, alloy aluminum aftermarket stators are used as opposed to the porice Chevy castings found in some others.
10" Race Performance: These converters, with a stall speed between 3000 and 4000 rpm, offer you the performance and strength you need for full time racing. With anti-ballon plates added on, small doses of Nitrous may also be used with these converters. 8" & 9" Race Performance: These are a true race converter. With two anti-baloon plates, alloy aluminum stator, billet steel hub, three sets of bearings and full furnace braze these converters stall from 4500 rpm up and offer outstanding dragstrip performance. This line is used for motors into the 850/900 hp range. 8",9", & 10" Max Performance: These offer the same advantages as the race series but are made with a steel stator for maximum strength. These converters are recommended for motors around 900 hp and above as well as Nitrous and Blower applications. |
